- Theme updates — applied weekly, with a visual check after every round
- Backups — daily database plus weekly full-site backups, kept 30 days, stored off-server
- Uptime monitoring — your site checked every 5 minutes, around the clock

- Monthly report — a plain-English PDF on the 1st of every month: uptime, updates, backups, security, and what we prevented
- Email support — ask us anything about your site's health; we answer within one business day
- Restore — one free full-site restore per quarter, whether it's a hack, a bad update, or a host failure
What we don't do
Stated plainly, because boundaries are how trust is built.
We keep your site alive. We don't redesign it, write content for it, or do SEO. We'll update the plugin that runs your contact form — we won't rewrite the form's text or restyle it. We'll restore a hacked site from backup — we won't write your new practice-area pages.
No scope creep, ever. The Guardian plan includes zero content or design time. If you need a text change, a new page, or speed work, we have a published fixed-price menu — quoted before we start, never after.
No phone calls. Everything happens over email, in writing, timestamped. That protects both of us.
No Friday updates. Maintenance runs Tuesday through Thursday mornings. A broken site on a Friday afternoon is how weekends get ruined; we don't do that to you.
How it works
1
Free audit
Request the 27-point security audit. We look at your site, find the real issues, and send you a one-page report. No pitch, just findings — it's yours to keep either way.
2
We onboard in 48 hours
You create a separate admin user for us — we never ask for your personal login. We take a full backup, harden logins, install protection, and record a baseline of your entire site.
3
The monthly report proves it
On the 1st of every month you get the report: uptime percentage, updates applied, backups taken, threats blocked, and what we prevented — in plain English. Our best months look like nothing happened. The report shows you why.

Is your firm's website one update away from disaster?
Most law-firm sites we look at are running software with known, published vulnerabilities. Ours was probably fine when the freelancer built it in 2021 — then nobody touched it again.
Free 27-point security audit. No pitch, just findings.

What if you break my site?
Every update round starts with a full backup. If an update breaks something, we restore from that backup — most sites are back within the hour. If the breakage is ours, the restore is free, and we tell you exactly what happened in plain English: what broke, what we did, and what we're changing so it doesn't happen again.
Do you need my passwords?
No. You create a separate admin user for us — guardian-svc — and that's the only access we use. We never ask for your personal login, and we never touch your firm's email or anything outside the website. When you cancel, we delete that user and confirm it in writing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Month-to-month, no contract, no cancellation fee. When you cancel, we hand you a final full backup, remove our access and software, and purge your backups from our storage after 30 days — confirmed in writing. Leaving should be as easy as joining.
Is my clients' data safe with you?
Your backups are encrypted and stored off-server, isolated per firm — one firm's backup never touches another's. We never open, read, or use backup contents beyond restore operations. If you leave, we purge your data after 30 days and confirm the purge in writing. This is how we handle our ABA Model Rule 1.6 obligations, and we'll put the confidentiality clause in the services agreement.
Why should I trust you?
Don't — not up front. Take the free audit first: it demonstrates our competence before any money changes hands. Then look at the monthly report, which shows exactly what you'll get every month. There's no lock-in, we make a narrow claim (we keep WordPress sites alive — that's all we do), and we say no to work outside our scope instead of taking your money for it.
Do you do redesigns, content, or SEO?
No — on purpose. Redesigns, content, and SEO are different businesses with different incentives, and bundling them is how $299 plans get bloated. We keep your site alive, secure, and backed up. If you need design or marketing work, we'll tell you straight and can quote fixed-price work separately.
What happens when my site goes down?
We're alerted within minutes. If the downtime exceeds 15 minutes, you're notified. For hacks, bad updates, or host failures, we restore from backup — one free restore per quarter on Guardian, unlimited on Guardian Plus. Every incident is documented in your next monthly report.
How is this different from my hosting company's care plan?
Most hosting "maintenance" is automated patching with no one watching. We apply updates in a controlled weekly window (never Friday), verify the site visually after every round, hold major releases until the ecosystem catches up, test our backups with real restores, and send you a human-readable report every month. The difference is accountability — a report with our name on it.
